Planning
In this module, the company's upcoming seafarer voyages are planned on a Gantt-style timeline.
Each seafarer position can be dragged across the planning stages. Double-clicking on a seafarer position opens a dialog with additional information about the current voyage.
Defaults for new assignments
New operational planning and sign-on records receive the vessel's default checklist, if configured. New contracts receive the vessel's payments with entered rates for the seafarer's rank. Later changes to these defaults do not replace existing checklist progress or contract payments.
Replacements and vessel changes
You can choose the seafarer being replaced during Planning or Joining; the selection is retained through sign-on. See Replacement assignments.
Changing a planned vessel clears replacement assignments involving the selected seafarers, including seafarers assigned to replace them. The confirmation dialog warns about this for both individual and bulk vessel changes. Review the assignments after moving the plan.
All seafarers assigned to a vessel in the seafarer manager are displayed with the status On board.For the earlier planning stages (candidate consideration and joining), use the Pre-joining board.
